Alternative Dispute Resolution

We all know that litigation is expensive, time consuming, and exhausting for the parties involved. For these reasons, techniques for alternative dispute resolution have been gaining acceptance over the past decade. This growing acceptance is evidenced by the required arbitration hearing that occurs for all disputes under $25,000 in the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, as well as the mandatory alternative dispute resolution stage for all civil cases filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

The two most common forms of alternative dispute resolution are arbitration and mediation. Our experience in the alternative dispute area includes being an arbitrator for hundreds of cases for the American Arbitration Association, the National Association of Securities Dealers, the United States District Course for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. We have also represented many clients in these forums.
